This page is updated with current known issues that we are working on for the new Evergreen ILS
Library staff are able to place request (requestor in hold view) for Permeant LR items belonging to other libraries.
The Generate password link button in Evergreen User Record does not work. This is a known issue with Equinox.
Possible Hold slips not printing Notice By Type consistently.
Possible Notices issues being evaluated:
Some patrons with no email address have bcc's generating hold emails - they are still appearing in the print pdf file.
Some Overdue emails appear to not be emailing and defaulting to print file
SMS Notices won't be available until July sometime - Unfortunately the FCC/Carriers have gotten stricter over the years and require some very specific privacy states provided in a very specific manner. The SELCO board needs to approve this policy and then it has to go through each of the carriers and the FCC to be approved before we can outsource patrons phone number messaging. Message Bee says under the best of the circumstances this approval can take 3 - 4 weeks, but given the summer, the budget cuts its possible it can take quit a bit more. They are guesstimating an early July approval. But it is an estimate there are a lot of factors beyond anyone's control.
Aspen Library Hours & Locations do not display library hours.
Aspen & Overdrive Integrations is still being worked on. Accounts may not report all Libby titles currently out to a patron.
Mobile App Self Checkouts are in troubleshooting.
Mobile App Slowness is occurring for some patrons. This is a Aspen Discovery API issue and not Communico related. The Aspen community is working on improvements.
Online Payments are in testing phase.
MNLINK Items that migrated from Horizon did not come over with any circ mods. Some items might show that they have renewals remaining. We adjusted the circ mod, but we cannot change the renewals without re-circing the item.
MNLINK Items may not scan correctly in Evergreen. If that is the case, send it to SELCO and we will take care of it.
Some Hold notices are being generated in the print pdf file and also going out via email. This has been resolved and there should no longer be holds generating in print and email.
SELCO Overdrive/Libby collections are displaying in Aspen Discovery.
Aspen Browse Categories and Library Spotlights are now working for local administrators.
SELCO libraries are now able to lend through MNLINK as of 5/29. Due to delays from Reshare/MNLINK in set up- libraries in the region should anticipate unusually large pull lists.
Reset My PIN/Password in Aspen is sending emails as intended.
Patrons with Multiple Last Names - We have finished any bulk cleanup/adjustment we are doing with patrons. There is a cleanup report on the Post Migration Cleanup page to find your borrowers still missing first names ; other issues can be found with reports in Evergreen or BCA.
Cataloging Template has been created for a brief book.
Hold print notices were not running for several days. Equinox has fixed the issue and re ran Print holds for the last 3 days (5/13-1/15).
Appx 4k items that were not magazines had shelf location and circ mod of magazine - are now mapped correctly
Evergreen Delivered Reports are now available
Autorenewals were running on an incorrect Schedule - this has been fixed to run 3 days before the due date.
Magazines in Aspen should now display all available copies on the library-specific sites.
Phone Numbers should be loaded correctly into patron records
Renewing items that are on hold is now disabled.
Re-targeting Holds - Running your pull list should trap any new holds
Lost Notices - Lost notices now have the correct library information and language in them.
Hold notices now display the correct hold pickup date in both print and email notices.
People Magazine was so corrupted that it was not able to be migrated to Evergreen.
There is a cleanup report on the post migration cleanup page with a report of old items from Horizon and the new TCN.
Pull Lists Issues should be resolved. We believe it was just a temporary issue due to how in-transit items migrated from Horizon.
If your library still has pull list issues, please provide examples/screenshots.
Hold Policies/Special Collections should now be working.
If you think you are still having an issue we will need the item, the patron, and what should be happening.
Creating Patrons - When creating a new patron, libraries should be able to see the 'standard' user permission.
Pre-May 1 Requests - This is now fixed, it was mostly a problem with equipment/special collection and dovetailed with hold policies. We're still working on the hold policies, but the requests should be targeting in order now.
Staff Account Passwords - There are now instructions for staff to change their Evergreen Staff Account Passwords.
Age Hold Protection should now work for 3 months from active date.
Borrower Middle Names should be available again.
Primary/Active Cards should now be fixed in Evergreen.
Borrower Names with Hyphens should be fixed.
Aspen Item Status - Aspen should now be showing the correct item status.
Secondary Cataloging Permissions set up for staff have been fixed.
Void Lost Items - A setting was changed in Evergreen to void lost items upon check in so the bill would not generate.
Equinox is helping to generate a cleanup report of any that may have snuck through.
Circ Manager Permissions have been updated to allow editing the primary/active barcode.
Circ Policies should all be working as expected.
External Applications are now connected to Evergreen: SELCO App, OverDrive/Libby, Envisionware.
Autorenewal will not work for any items checked out in Horizon. The email will send but without an Evergreen Circ# the database cannot autorenewal. Items checked out in Evergreen natively are Autorenewing.
Clean up Reports for Lost items, In transit/expired holds, Schools items/patrons have been created and shared via the Post Migration Cleanup page. You can also access reports on your own from Blue Cloud Analytics still for historical Horizon information. More reports may be forthcoming.
Editing Other Libraries - You cannot edit patrons or mark items owned by other libraries as lost, claimed returned etc.
Talk to the owner of the library so they can do this. If the region wants to change this it will need to be a conversation at the Shared ILS Committee.
Lost Items Horizon vs Evergreen - Lost items that were tied to a patron in Horizon are not tied to a patron in Evergreen.
Equinox reports this cannot be done in bulk because the historic transaction is no longer present. The cleanup report is available at Post Migration Cleanup.
Items that went Lost in Horizon after the catalog freeze (April 14th) and the last day of Horizon April 27th migrated as available due to how Horizon "checked in" overdue items to Lost status. You can find a list of these items in Blue Cloud Analytics reports. You may want to check their current status in Evergreen in case they were returned and rechecked out and/or check the shelves to ensure they weren't actually returned and then address the "grocery" bill appropriately as your workflow dictates.
Reshelving is a temporary status that means it's in the library, but not yet been reshelved. This status will change on its own, you don't have to do anything with it. This may change later on when there is more time to address it.
