Workflow Examples

All libraries choosing to participate in the ILS service have different internal processes and procedures, or workflow, to meet their local layout, priorities, and circumstances. Having your local workflow documented ahead of the ILS migration will enable you to prepare your library and staff for transition to new software.  Thinking through now, why and how your location does certain workflow will eliminate the need for those discussions and decisions during a potentially stressful transition period. 

Below are a few examples of workflow from a few libraries, these are meant to be examples only to help visualize what documentation may look like. It is not meant as a suggestion or directive to use the below workflow for your location.
